The annual Fire Prevention Institute, co-sponsored by the State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Washington State Association of Fire Marshals has a valuable agenda, and is designed to meet the needs of those involved in providing fire and life safety services, focusing on important prevention and strategy issues facing fire officials.

Fire Chiefs, Fire Marshals, Code Enforcement Personnel, Public Educators, Building Officials and Fire Investigators will benefit from the varied agenda. The multiple-day, multiple-track format offers a self-directed, facilitated learning environment with education sessions, interactive forums, and a vendor /technology exhibition.

The Institute provides networking and training opportunities, the ability to share information, programs and resources that are available to assist in efforts to reduce deaths, injuries and losses from fire, and focuses on important prevention and strategy issues facing fire officials, The Fire Prevention Institute includes essential training hours needed for code recertification. WSAFM will issue ICC Continuing Education Credits!
